Weather Cancels Golf at Vidalia

VIDALIA, Ga. – With already saturated grounds and the high forecast of heavy rains expected in the middle Georgia area, the First Presbyterian Day School golf team and head coach Matt Kitchell have announced the cancelation of this weekend’s tournament in Vidalia on Saturday, Feb. 23.

This is the first tournament this season that has been canceled due to weather.

A makeup date will be announced in the coming weeks if one is determined.

FPD now opens the 2013 season on Thursday, March 7, taking on Veterans High School at International City Golf Course in Warner Robins, Ga.

The First Presbyterian Day School Department of Athletics, home to multiple region and state championships in both the GISA and GHSA, strives to build the student athlete both in the playing arena and the classroom while continuing to educate and equip students to change the world for God’s glory. Now a member of the GHSA, the Vikings have continued to provide FPD athletes, coaches, fans and spectators a positive, Christian environment on a daily basis.
