Girls Golf Battles Hard, Takes Second Place at Healy Point

MACON, Ga. – The First Presbyterian Day school girls golf team hit the links on Wednesday, March 20, taking on Veterans High School at Healy Point Country Club.

The Lady Vikings had a strong showing despite dropping the match by one stroke 164-165.

Senior Heidi Park led the girls squad, firing a 41 in the nine-hole event.

Both FPD golf teams return to the course this week, taking on Mary Persons High School on Thursday, March 21 at Forsyth Country Club at 3:30 p.m. The boys team is also in action on Saturday, March 23, traveling to play in the Demon Invitational at the International City Golf Course in Warner Robins at 1 p.m.

The First Presbyterian Day School Department of Athletics, home to multiple region and state championships in both the GISA and GHSA, strives to build the student athlete both in the playing arena and the classroom while continuing to educate and equip students to change the world for God’s glory. Now a member of the GHSA, the Vikings have continued to provide FPD athletes, coaches, fans and spectators a positive, Christian environment on a daily basis.
