Girls Draw, Boys Fall at Union Grove

McDONOUGH, Ga. – The First Presbyterian Day School girls and boys soccer teams hit the road on Wednesday night, April 24, taking on Union Grove High School in a recently scheduled doubleheader.

In the girls match, the Lady Vikings (15-1-2) battled to a 2-2 tie. FPD scored via the foot of Annie Kate Barnes and Atalia Ramirez despite being outshot 15-11.

Jane Howell was credited with an assist and keeper Claire Crawford tallied 14 saves on the night.

In the boys match, the Vikings dropped the match to Union Grove 5-1.

FPD’s lone goal came from Kevin Griggs off an assist from Cole Morton.

FPD outshot Union Grove 25-24 in the losing effort. Keeper Jeremy Overman notched 17 saves in the defeat.
