Baseball and Boys Soccer GHSA Playoff Information

MACON, Ga. – The First Presbyterian Day School baseball and boys soccer team will host its first round GHSA State Tournament games on Friday-Saturday, May 3-4, 2013.

Information on the games are listed below.

BASEBALL:

Opponent: Christian Heritage (Dalton, Ga.)

Mascot: Lions

When: Game 1 (Friday, May 3); Game 2 (Friday, May 3); Game 3, if necessary (Saturday, May 4)

Where: Ben Harden Memorial Field (FPD Main Campus)

Time: Game One – 4 p.m.; Game Two – 7 p.m.; Game Three (Saturday) – 2 p.m.

Cost: $7.00 for Games 1 & 2; $7.00 for Game 3 (if necessary)

Records: FPD 20-1, Christian Heritage 12-11.

Head Coach: FPD – Jim Turner; Christian Heritage – Noah Stokes.

Notes: FPD will be the #4 seed and Christian Heritage will be the #13 seed…FPD win the Region 7A Championship…This is the first time FPD baseball has played Christian Heritage in school history…FPD has won three straight after droppings its only decision of the year to Veterans…Christian Heritage has lost four out of five entering into the GHSA State Playoffs.

 

BOYS SOCCER:

Opponent: Eagles Landing Christian Academy (McDonough, Ga.)

When: Friday, May 3

Where: FPD Soccer Complex (FPD Main Campus)

Time: 7 p.m.

Cost: $7.00

Records: FPD 10-6-1, ELCA n/a

Notes: FPD finished as the #2 seed from Area 2 after defeating Brookstone on penalty kicks on April 18…The Vikings have outscored opponents 49-26 this season…FPD has totaled nine shutouts on the year.
