Girls and Boys Golf Drop Match to Mary Persons

MACON, Ga. – The First Presbyterian Day School girls and boys golf teams were in action on Thursday afternoon, May 2, taking on Mary Persons High School at Healy Point.

In the girls match, the Lady Vikings dropped its match to the Lady Bulldogs 94-108.

Senior Heidi Park shot a 46, finishing second overall on the day. Fellow teammate Nancy Berkner fired a 62, respectively.

In the boys match, the Vikings fell by three strokes, 160-163.

Sophomore Dalton Taylor and senior Kaleb Fuller paced the Viking attack, shooting a 40 (+4) in the nine-hil tournament. Freshman Charles Stroud finished with a 41 while Brantley Wilson carded a 42.

The girls and boys golf teams return to the links on Monday, May 6, traveling to Augusta for the GHSA Sectionals. The girls will play at Goshen Plantation Golf Club while the boys will tee off at Forest Hills. Both events begin at 9 a.m.
