UPDATED (3:31 p.m.)

MACON, Ga. – With saturated grounds and the high forecast of heavy rains expected in the middle Georgia area, the First Presbyterian Day School softball team (2-1) and head coach Jim Turner have canceled its game at Perry High School today, August 16, 2013.

The contest will be made-up on Wednesday, August 28 at Perry at 5:55 p.m.

This is the first game that has been postponed this season due to inclement weather.

The softball team returns to the diamond on Wednesday, August 21, traveling to play Crawford County in Game 1 of the Houston County Invitational. First pitch is scheduled for 5:55 p.m. at Houston County High School.

The First Presbyterian Day School Department of Athletics strives to build the student athlete both in the playing arena and the classroom while upholding the school’s mission statement to educate and equip students to change the world for God’s glory as a member of the Georgia High School Association.
