Volleyball Splits Home Matches on Senior Night

MACON, Ga. – The First Presbyterian Day School volleyball team split its home matches on Senior Night, winning 2-0 (25-11/25-13) against Lamar County and falling 1-2 to Northside (23-25/26-24/14-25).

In FPD’s win against Lamar, the Lady Vikings took both games with ease.

Tied at 10-10 in the first game, FPD rallied to go on a 15-1 run and take the victory.

The Lady Vikings were lead by the six aces of Madison Busbee and three kills from Lizzie Lisenby. Olivia Taylor notched 11 sets, while Mikayla Mobley had seven digs.

Game two saw FPD take the match as well, winning 25-15. FPD led by at least three points for the entire duration of game two.

Anna Smith’s four aces paced FPD in the victory. Lisenby had seven kills at the net, Taylor tallied 16 sets and Alisha Napier secured 13 digs, respectively.

FPD took its first match of the evening against Northside to three games, falling in game one 23-25, winning game two 26-24 and dropping game three 14-25.

Head coach Stephanie Harrell honored all four seniors on the 2013 squad prior to the match against Lamar County.

The FPD Athletic Department sincerely thanks Lizzie Lisenby, Olivia Taylor, Anna Smith and Callie Wilson for their dedication to the FPD Volleyball program over the last four years!

The Lady Vikings (15-13-3) return to action on Thursday, Sept. 26, traveling to play Eagles Landing Christian Academy in a best three-of-five game match starting at 6 p.m.
