Girls Basketball at No. 24 in GHSA Power Ratings

MACON, Ga. – The second edition of the GHSA Class-A Private School girls basketball power rankings were released on Tuesday, Jan. 14 with FPD garnering a spot at no. 24.

The rankings are used throughout the season to determine the top-16 teams in both Class-A Private and Public, with those schools advancing to the GHSA State Tournament.

The Lady Vikings (6-5) dropped four spots from last week’s poll after a win at Houston County followed by a loss at Perry.

Altogether, FPD accumulated 4.7 points and remains less than two points out of a spot in the top-16.

Rankings will be released every Tuesday for the remaining duration of the 2013-14 season.

The First Presbyterian Day School Department of Athletics strives to build the student athlete both in the playing arena and the classroom while upholding the school’s mission statement to educate and equip students to change the world for God’s glory.
