Baseball Drops Two in Twinbill at Woodland-Henry

STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. – The FPD baseball team (0-3) dropped both games of its doubleheader on Saturday, February 22, falling 6-1 to Woodland-Henry then 16-1 to Ola High School.

In FPD’s game against Woodland-Henry, the Vikings were outhit 7-3, with two of FPD’s hits coming from Bo Fricks.

Woodland-Henry scored one run in the first, second and third innings to take the lead for good. FPD’s lone run of the contest came in the fifth frame on a hit from Tyler Stubbs.

In game two of the afternoon, FPD was plagued by the hot offense of Ola.

A game that lasted only three innings, Ola scored 15 of its 16 runs in the second and third inning.

FPD could only account for one hit, a single from K.J. Spears, respectively.

With the two losses, FPD has dropped three straight games to start the season.

The Vikings will look for their first win of the 2014 campaign on Tuesday, Feb. 25 when they welcome Strong Rock Christian School to Ben Harden Memorial Field for the home opener at 5 p.m.
