Boys Golf Wins Over Mary Persons and Locust Grove

FORSYTH, Ga. – The FPD boys golf team took hits second consecutive match on Thursday afternoon, March 21, firing a team score of 159 (+15), winning over Locust Grove and the host school Mary Persons at the Forsyth City Golf Course.

Charles Stroud led the Viking attack on the links, firing a 37 (+1) in the 9-hole event.

Dalton Taylor was the next best finisher for FPD, carding a 39 (+3).

Rounding out FPD’s top scorers was Brantley Wilson with a 41 (+5) and Wesley Hanson and Jacob Fussell, who both finished with a 42 (+6).

In the girls match, the Lady Vikings had a strong showing, taking second place.

Cassidy Pearson finished with a 53 while Sumner Carlton notched a 68.

The golf teams return to action on Tuesday, March 25, traveling to Pine Needles Country Club to take on Peach County at 4 p.m.
