Boys Soccer Nets Home Win Over Strong Rock

MACON, Ga. – The FPD boys soccer team (4-0-1) stayed unbeaten on Tuesday night, March 4, picking up a 2-1 victory over the Strong Rock Christian School Patriots.

Both Viking goals came in the first period of action, the first when Bradley Mullis assisted Christian Moore for a score.

Minutes later, Mullis knocked in a goal of his own off of a deflection, giving FPD enough offense to seal the win.

Strong Rock’s lone goal of the evening came in the second half by Chris Matthews.

FPD keeper Matthew Feagin picked up his fourth win of the year in the net, corralling five saves. Patriot keeper Micah Gaudry picked up six caroms, respectively.

FPD outshot Strong Rock 8-6 on the night.

The Vikings will enjoy a week away from action, returning to play on Tuesday, March 11, hosting Putnam County at 7:30 p.m.

The First Presbyterian Day School Department of Athletics strives to build the student athlete both in the playing arena and the classroom while upholding the school’s mission statement to educate and equip students to change the world for God’s glory.
