Boys Golf Takes Match Over Mary Persons

MACON, Ga. – The FPD golf teams hit the links on Wednesday afternoon, April 9, hosting a match at Healy Point County Club against the Mary Persons Bulldogs.

The Vikings claimed the match by seven strokes, besting the Bulldogs 162-169.

Brantley Wilson and Wesley Hanson paced FPD, each shooting a 39 (+3) in the 9-hole match.

Charles Stroud finished his round with a 40 (+4), while Chris Adams notched a 44 (+8).

Dalton Johnson was the top finisher for Mary Persons, firing a 38 (+2).

In the girls match, the Lady Vikings fell to the Lady Bulldogs 104-115. Freshman Cassidy Pearson finished with a round of 48 to lead FPD.

The golf teams return to action on Tuesday, April 15, hosting the Area 1 Tournament at Healy Point.
