Volleyball Splits Road Matches at Harris County

HAMILTON, Ga. – The FPD volleyball team (4-6) split its road matches on Tuesday night, falling to the host school Harris County 17-25/10-25 before defeating Upson Lee 25-21/25-16.

In the first match, the FPD offense struggled to score, posting only 27 points in its two games against Harris County.

Kirsten Beach and Kate Patterson each recorded two kills and one block in the match for FPD.

In the second match of the evening, the Lady Vikings turned its fortune around, taking down Upson Lee in two games.

McKenzie Johnson led FPD with eight kills and four aces. Abigail Pierce chipped in with two kills while Patterson recorded a block.

The volleyball team is back to action quickly, traveling to Thomaston, Ga. for matches at Upson Lee and against Perry. First serve is scheduled for 5 p.m.
