Volleyball Draws Savannah Country Day in GHSA State Playoff Opener

MACON, Ga. – For a third consecutive season, the FPD volleyball team is headed to familiar territory: the GHSA Class-A State Tournament.

The Lady Vikings (21-18) will open tournament play on Thursday, October 16 at 4:30 p.m., hosting the Savannah Country Day Lady Hornets at the Middlebrooks Athletic Center.

The Lady Vikings are the no. 2 seed from Area-2 while the Lady Hornets (23-18) are the no. 3 seed from Area-3.

Tickets are $5 for administration, faculty, staff, students and parents. The only passes that will be recognized are GHSA coaching passes.

FPD is 0-2 all-time in GHSA State Playoffs matches, falling in the opening round to Paideia in 2013 and dropping to Calvary Day School in 2012.
