Girls and Boys Track Members Advance Past Sectionals to State

ATLANTA – The FPD varsity girls and boys track and field teams were in action on Saturday, May 2 at the GHSA Class-A Private Sectionals at Landmark Christian, with multiple competitors advancing to the GHSA State Meet.

The following is a list of competitors, finishes and times at Sectionals for the Lady Vikings:

–Sadie Frame – 12th – 100m Hurdles – 17.22; 13th – 300m Hurdles – 52.56
–Rebecca Leigh – 16th – 400m Dash – 1:08.41
–FPD 4x100m Relay Team A – 9th – 52.30
–Abbie Burns – 16th – 800m Run – 2:57.66
–Maggie Johnston – 1st – Discus – 128-05; 6th – Shot Put – 34-05.50
–Jennifer Berkner – 10th – Discus – 90-06
–Carson Dingler – 1st – Pole Vault – 12-00

–Titus Moore – 6th – 300m Hurdles – 41.40
–Barron Jones – 4th – 400m Dash – 50.37
–FPD 4x100m Relay Team A – 2nd – 42.74
–FPD 4×400 Relay Team A – 3rd – 3:29.14
–Bryce Little – 11th – 800m Run – 2:09.60

The above competitors that finished eighth or better in running events and ninth or better in field events will advance to the Class-A State Meet.

The girls state meet is scheduled for May 7-9 at Hugh Mills Stadium in Albany, Ga.

The boys state meet is slated for May 14-16 at Memorial Stadium in Jefferson, Ga.
