Six Boys Soccer Players Earn All-Middle Georgia Honors

MACON, Ga. – Six members of the FPD varsity boys soccer team have been named to the All-Middle Georgia Team, announced Monday, June 15 by the Macon Telegraph.

“We are proud of all our team members who were selected,” FPD head coach Josh Trieste said. “They represent their team and school well and worked hard all year long. It’s a great honor to be selected amongst great talent in the middle Georgia area.”

Highlighting the selections was first team member Kevin Griggs, who finished with 15 goals and five assists in his senior season.

Three players were named to the second team: Spencer Ennis, Cole Morton and Nicholas Farmer.

Ennis, a rising senior, finished the year with 14 goals. The mark was good enough to tie for the team lead.

Morton wreaked havoc at midfield in his senior season and started every game for the Vikings throughout his entire career. He tallied eight assists and six goals in 2015.

Farmer, another rising senior, snagged a whopping 310 steals on the defensive end en route to six team shutouts.

Rounding out FPD’s All-Middle Georgia selections is Stephen Dance (Class of 2015) and sophomore Dane Wiggins. Both were named Honorable Mentions.

Griggs, Morton, Wiggins and Dance were also named to the All-Area Team at the conclusion of the 2015 season.

Griggs, Morton and Farmer added All-Class All-Star accolades as well.

The Vikings finished the 2015 campaign at 11-7-2 and advanced to the second round of the GHSA Class-A State Tournament.
