Baseball Recaps v. Morgan County and Lamar County at Strong Rock on Feb. 27

LOCUST GROVE, Ga. – The FPD varsity baseball team, split its scheduled double-header on Saturday, Feb. 27 at Strong Rock Christian School, falling 4-2 to the AAA-Morgan County High School Bulldogs 4-2 before defeating the AA-Lamar County High School Trojans in non-region play.

“We obviously wanted to win both, but coming home with a split after playing a lot of baseball over the past several days is nothing to be ashamed of,” FPD head baseball coach Denny Bryant said.

“We had our chances against Morgan County, but just couldn’t pull through. Against Lamar (County), I was proud of the way the guys fought back after getting down early. All in all is was a good day for our baseball team as we try to get better for some upcoming important games.”
