Baseball Snags Two Wins over Pace and Paideia at Lake Point Complex

EMERSON, Ga. The FPD varsity baseball team snagged two wins on Saturday afternoon over Class-A opponents Pace Academy and The Paideia School in non-region play at the Lake Point Sports Complex.

The victories push FPD’s winning streak to three games to start the 2016 season.

In game one, the Vikings defeated the Pace Academy Knights 5-2 before closing out the day with a 15-4 victory over the Paideia Pythons.

The Vikings return to action on Monday, Feb. 22, traveling to Mary Persons High School in Forsyth, Ga. for a non-region game at 5:55 p.m.

Game notes: Fricks was 3-for-5 with four RBI and two runs scored for FPD…Bloodworth was 1-for-2 with three RBI for FPD…Hartley and Langston each drove in two runs for FPD…FPD walked 11 times…Sawyer, Bloodworth, Fricks, and Hartley each scored two runs…Game was played at Lake Point.
