FPD Releases Fall 2016 Athletic Broadcasting Schedule

MACON, Ga. – The FPD Athletic Department has released its fall 2016 broadcasting schedule, announced today, August 9.

“We are excited about expanding our broadcast opportunities this school year,” FPD Sports Information Director Chandler Lee said. “This will allow for those who can’t make it to a game to listen in on a regular basis.”

After broadcasting Lady Viking and Viking basketball games last academic year, the school will now add select softball contests and all home and away football games.

Fans will be able to listen to the audio broadcast of each game through Livestream. Creating an account is free and can be used on a desktop, tablet and mobile device.

“The accessibility of Livestream will allow all of Viking Nation to tune in wherever they may be,” Lee said.

Below is a schedule of games that will be broadcast via audio. A select few will be streamed via video.

Lee, the “Voice of the Vikings,” will call all selected softball contests and middle school football coach and Bible teacher Bob Veazey will join Lee in the booth on football games.

“It’s important that these kids get the exposure they deserve,” Lee said. “They work hard all year long and to be able to broadcast games to the immediate and extended FPD family will allow everyone to stay involved.”

FPD would like to thank its sponsors for the 2016-17 broadcast year as well.

“We are thankful to all of sponsors for this year and for their investment in the FPD Athletic Department and broadcast program. A few spots are still available for those interested.” Lee said.

If you are interested in a commercial spot please contact Assistant Athletic Director Elizabeth Leslein at elizabeth.leslein@fpdmacon.org or Lee at chandler.lee@fpdmacon.org.

Please note the schedule is subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances. Playoff broadcasts will be announced once determined.

The First Presbyterian Day School Department of Athletics strives to build the student athlete both in the playing arena and the classroom while upholding the school’s mission statement to educate and equip students to change the world for God’s glory.
