Cross Country Recaps: FPD at Warner Robins Invitational (Sept. 13)

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. – The FPD varsity girls and boys cross country teams took to the course on Tuesday, Sept. 13, competing at the Warner Robins High School Invitational hosted by Warner Robins.

In the girls meet, the Lady Vikings finished 10th of 18 while the Vikings were 16th of 20.

The Lady Vikings had three runners cross the finish line consecutively, with Kate Patterson placing 40th at 24:04. Jansyn Samples (41st) and Mary Jayne Bonfim (42nd) clocked in at 24:06 and 24:17, respectively out of 148 runners.

The Vikings were paced by the 52nd place finish of Jack Hardy at 19:33.

Wyatt Hicks (77th) crossed the finish line at 20:32 while Camden Lashley (78th) was right behind his teammate at 20:34 out of 191 runners.

The Lady Vikings and Vikings are back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 21, hosting the Viking Invitational at the Georgia Industrial Children’s Home.

Varsity races are set to begin at 4:50 p.m.
