Lady Vikings to Host Prince Avenue on Wednesday, Feb. 22, in GHSA Class-A Sweet 16

MACON, Ga. – After a first round ‘bye,’ the FPD Lady Vikings (18-6) will open up the GHSA Class-A Private Girls Basketball State Tournament in the Sweet 16 on Wednesday night, Feb. 22, hosting the Prince Avenue Lady Wolverines (20-7) at Coach Mac’s Court at the Middlebrooks Athletic Center.

Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

The Lady Wolverines advanced to the Sweet 16 with a 41-29 win over Athens Christian on Feb. 17

The Wolverines come in as the no. 10 seed, while the Lady Vikings are the no. 7 seed in the state tournament.

FPD leads the all-time series against Prince Avenue, with the only game being played in 2009 in the GISA era. The Lady Vikings won 57-20 on Jan. 6, 2009 at FPD.

Admission is $7 at the gate, as sanctioned by the GHSA.

Only valid coaching passes and media passes will be allowed for entry.
