Baseball Falls to Denham Springs 11-0 in Day Two of Perfect Game Tournament

EMERSON, Ga. – The FPD varsity baseball team (8-4) fell to Denham Springs Yellowjackets (7-4-1) out of Louisiana 11-0 in five innings in the second day of the Perfect Game High School Tournament on Friday night, March 10, at the Lake Point Baseball Complex.

The Viking offense was stymied the entire contest, only mustering two hits throughout the game.

The Yellowjackets scored all 11 runs in the first three innings, including six in the third frame.

Denham Springs held the Vikings scoreless through five innings to bring the run-rule into effect and take the win.

With the loss, the Vikings have dropped two straight and will look to rebound on Saturday, March 11, in the final day of the tourney.

FPD plays at 10:30 against an opponent TBD followed by a contest at 1 p.m. against Buford.
