Boys and Girls Golf Defeat Stratford at Healy Point

MACON, Ga. – The FPD varsity golf teams took to the links on Thursday afternoon, March 16, hosting Stratford Academy in a 9-hole match at Healy Point Country Club.

Both squads came away with a victory, as the Lady Vikings defeated the Lady Eagles 91-95.

Cassidy Pearson led the way for FPD with a 3-over-par 39. Stratford’s best finish came from Josie Coleman with a 5-over-par 41.

In the boys match, the Vikings put up some impressive individual numbers en route to a 144-166 victory.

Three players finished at even par or better to pace FPD.

Jay Spivey carded a match-best 2-under 34 while Luke Dasher fired a 1-under 35.

Wilson Andress finished with an even-par round of 36 while Alex Odom signed his scorecard at 39 (3-over).

The Eagles were led by Brannen Suggs, who finished with a 1-over 37.

The varsity golf tams are back in action on Monday, March 20, hosting Strong Rock Christian School at 4 p.m. at Healy Point.
