Lacrosse Takes Down Fayette County Tigers, 16-5

MACON, Ga. – The FPD varsity lacrosse team (2-5) picked up its second varsity win in program history on Tuesday night, March 14, defeating the Fayette County Tigers 16-5 at Austin Childers Field at George S. Johnson Stadium.

FPD led 3-1 at halftime and ended the match on a 13-2 run to take the win running away.

Will Watson led the scoring charge for the Vikings, netting a game-high six goals.

Brandon Paxton scored three goals for the Vikings, while Austin Bardash and Klein Woods pumped in two scores each. Tucker Bryant, Truett Frame and Graham Scott also had one goal in the victory.

Woods and Paxton finished with two assists in the winning bid. Bardash was also credited with one assist.

Will Ware picked up the win in the goal for FPD, finishing with five saves in the match.

The Vikings are back in action on Friday, March 17, traveling to Newnan High School for a match at 5:30 p.m.
