Girls Soccer State Playoff Information vs. Paideia (Final Four)

MACON, Ga. – The FPD varsity girls soccer team (21-0) will look to remain unbeaten and advance in the GHSA Class-A State Tournament on Tuesday night, May 9, hosting the The Paideia School Lady Pythons (13-5-3) at the FPD Soccer Complex at 6 p.m. in the Final Four round of play.

As a reminder, admission is $7 for all spectators at the gate.

Advance tickets are available in the Viking Store for $5 for students only through lunch on Tuesday afternoon, May 9.

Only GHSA Coaching Passes and valid media credentials will be valid for entry to the game free of charge.

The Lady Vikings defeated Strong Rock 3-0 in the first round and knocked out Lakeview Academy 3-0 in the Sweet 16. In the Elite Eight, the Lady Vikings blanked Pinecrest 2-0 on Friday, May 5.

The Lady Pythons defeated Hebron Christian in the opening round before picking up a 3-1 victory against Atlanta International in the Sweet 16. In the Elite Eight, the Lady Pythons defeated Calvary Day 1-0.

Tuesday’s match will be the third time the Lady Vikings and the Lady Pythons have met in program history.

The Lady Vikings picked up the school’s first GHSA State Championship by defeating Paideia in 2011. The Lady Pythons knocked FPD out of the State Tournament in the Final Four in 2013.

According to Eurosport Scoreboard, the Lady Vikings are ranked no. 2 in the state in Class-A while the Lady Pythons are no. 4.

The Lady Vikings are playing in the Class-A Final Four for the fourth time in six years since joining the league in 2010.
