Cross Country Ranked Again in Georgia Mile Split

MACON, Ga.- After multiple strong finishes, the First Presbyterian Day School girls and boys cross country teams have received recognition in the Georgia Mile Split Cross Country Rankings for the week ending September 23.

The girls are currently ranked at no. 3, down one spot, in the latest GHSA Class A Private School poll, while the boys come in at no. 9, dropping down three spots from last week’s poll.

Both cross country teams are fresh off top-ten finishes at the “Run the Wild” Invitational on September 22 hosted by FPD and Warner Robins High School at the Georgia Children’s Home.

The Vikings race again on Saturday, September 29, traveling to Cary, NC for the Great American Cross Country Festival. Times will be determined later in the week.

The First Presbyterian Day School Department of Athletics, home to multiple region and state championships in both the GISA and GHSA, strives to build the student athlete both in the playing arena and the classroom while continuing to educate and equip students to change the world for God’s glory. Now a member of the GHSA, the Vikings have continued to provide FPD athletes, coaches, fans and spectators a positive, Christian environment on a daily basis.
