Football’s McCormick Named Finalist for Telegraph’s Player of the Week Award

MACON, Ga.- First Presbyterian Day School senior football wide receiver Scott McCormick has been named a finalist for Player of the Week by the Macon Telegraph in week one of the football season. The Macon newspaper honors the top 10 players of the previous week and invites fans to vote for the best performance in an online poll.

McCormick caught five passes for 197 yards and one touchdown this past Friday (August 30) at George Walton in the Vikings’ season opener.

The Vikings return to action Friday, September 7, taking on Pike County in the home opener. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at George S. Johnson Memorial Stadium.
