Weather Causes Softball to Postpone Twin-Bill Against Twiggs County

MACON, Ga.- After thunderstorms that brought heavy rains to the middle Georgia area Monday night and into Tuesday, the First Presbyterian Day School varsity softball team (12-10, 2-0 Reg. 7-A) and head coach Jim Turner have postponed their region 7-A doubleheader against Twiggs County High School today, September 18, 2012.

FPD will now make up the matches on Wednesday, September 19 with both games being moved to the FPD Softball Complex. First pitch of the double-dip is set for 4:30 p.m.

The Vikings went 2-3 this past weekend in the Chattanooga-Score International Tourney, defeating Chattooga and Trion. FPD also has a perfect region slate, garnering victories over Wilkinson County High School and Georgia Military College Prep on the season.

The First Presbyterian Day School Department of Athletics, home to multiple region and state championships in both the GISA and GHSA, strives to build the student athlete both in the playing arena and the classroom while continuing to educate and equip students to change the world for God’s glory. Now a member of the GHSA, the Vikings have continued to provide FPD athletes, coaches, fans and spectators a positive, Christian environment on a daily basis.
