Cross Country Teams Compete at Walt Disney World Cross Country Classic

ORLANDO- The First Presbyterian Day School girls and boys cross country teams raced to a respectable finish this past Saturday, October 6, at the Walt Disney World Cross Country Classic in Florida.

The girls placed sixth with 146 points while the boys came in eighth place, putting up 160 points.

The girls team was paced by Jessica Smith, who finished in 19th place with a time of 23:04. Crossing the finish line next for FPD was Danielle Ferro (24th, 23:22.25) and McKenzie Peterson (25th, 23:22.26) respectively.

The boys squad was led by 12th place finisher Will Martin who clocked in at 19:09. Next for FPD was Griffin Hicks (31st, 20:53), Paul Young (42nd, 21:18) and Sonny Bailey (44th, 21:23).

FPD returns to its racing ways on Saturday, October 13, hosting “The Viking Invitational” at the Georgia Industrial Children’s Home starting at 9:00 a.m.
