Football Ranked at No. 14 in GHSA Power Rankings

MACON, Ga.- After a 49-27 loss against region opponent Lincoln County on September 28, the First Presbyterian Day School football team (2-2, 0-1 Reg. 7-A) stands at no. 14 in the latest GHSA Class A Private School Power Rankings for the week ending September 30.

The rankings are used to determine state playoff qualifications at the end of the season. The Vikings came in at no.8 in the previous poll.

FPD has averaged nearly 29 points of offense this season while holding opponents to just ten points overall during the fourth quarter.

The Vikings host Georgia Military College Prep on Friday, October 5 in its second region game of the season. The game also marks the first meeting between the Vikings and Bulldogs. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m at George S. Johnson Memorial Stadium.

The match will also feature FPD’s annual Homecoming festivities throughout the night.
