Football Stays at No. 12 in Power Rankings

MACON, Ga.- After going 4-1 over the last five weeks, the First Presbyterian Day School football team (6-3, 4-2 Reg. 7-A) stands at no. 12 in the latest GHSA Class A Private School Power Rankings for the week ending November 3.

The rankings are used to determine state playoff qualifications and seeding at the end of the season.

FPD was also ranked no. 12 in the previous power ranking on October 26.

The Vikings host Aquinas High School for the first time in school history on Friday, November 9 for Senior Night 2012, which will also be the last game of the regular season. The game is an important one for FPD, with multiple playoff implications on the line.

The contest is also a GHSA Region 7-A game. The Fightin’ Irish of Aquinas most recently defeated Georgia Military College Prep 49-14 on November 3.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at George S. Johnson Memorial Stadium on the campus of FPD.
