Volleyball Players Receive All-Middle Georgia Honors

MACON, Ga.- The First Presbyterian Day School volleyball team was honored by the Macon Telegraph with two players making the All-Middle Georgia team, announced Sunday, December 23, 2012.

Junior Olivia Taylor was named as one of the best setters in the area. Taylor was instrumental in keeping opposing offenses at bay while also setting up her teammates to score. The rising senior will be counted on heavily in the 2013 campaign to the lead FPD back to the postseason.

Joining Taylor on the list is fellow junior Lizzie Lisenby. Primarily playing at the net, Lisenby impressed all season long gaining points for FPD. She also demonstrated versatility in what can be at times a very demanding position up front.

The Vikings made the GHSA State Playoffs in its first official year of varsity competition before bowing out to Calvary Baptist in the first round.
