Wrestling Posts Top Finishers at Bibb County Championships

MACON, Ga- The First Presbyterian Day School wrestling team competed in the Bibb County Championships on Saturday, January 26 at Northeast High School.

FPD had several top finishers in the event.

Junior Martin Wilson took home first place with a perfect 2-0 record on the day. With his two victories, Wilson garnered 24 points for the Vikings.

Freshman Robby Watson took home second place for the day, finishing with a 1-1 record and posting 16 points.

Sophomore Jonathan Raines finished in third place while freshman Evan Sapp took home fourth place.

The Vikings tallied 71 points on the day.

The wrestling team returns to the mat on Tuesday, January 29, traveling to Rutland for a match at 5:00 p.m. The Vikings then compete in the Area Traditionals at Landmark Christian Friday-Saturday, Feb. 1-2.
