Basketball Rankings Released for Feb. 5

MACON, Ga.- The First Presbyterian Day School girls and boys basketball teams are both in the top-25 in the fifth GHSA Class A Private School Power Rankings of the season, released today, February 5, by the GHSA.

The rankings are used to determine the state playoffs and seeding at the end of the season.

The Lady Vikings (11-11) moved up one spot, coming in at no. 19 and accumulating 6.68 total points.

The Vikings (12-11) dropped one position on the poll, ranking at no. 20.

Both basketball teams are in action this week, hosting Georgia Military College Prep on Tuesday, February 5 on Senior Night 2013. The girls tip off at 6:00 p.m. and the boys follow at 7:30 p.m.

FPD will await its position in the region tournament, which will be announced on once known.
