FPD to Host Club Lacrosse for Grades 6-7

Macon, GA – The First Presbyterian Day School athletic department, and Athletic Director, Greg Moore, have announced the partnership with a Macon Youth Lacrosse club team.

The club Lacrosse team provides youth in the sixth and seventh grade the opportunity to compete in a relatively new and growing sport.

The “Vikings” as they will be known, will give youngsters the chance to learn the skills of the game in a team-based atmosphere.  Participation is open to all members of the public in the middle Georgia area.

The school is enthusiastic about accommodating the new club team.

“We are excited to host the new club Lacrosse Vikings,” said FPD Athletic Director, Greg Moore.  “This gives us the chance to learn more about what Lacrosse will look like as a part of our overall high school athletic program in the near future.”

The team will compete in the Metro Atlanta Youth Lacrosse Association (MAYLA), and it will practice on FPD’s campus on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.  For more information on registration, player costs, contact numbers, etc., go to . Full details are available on the website.
