Girls & Boys Track Finish Second at First Home Meet of 2013

MACON, Ga. – The First Presbyterian Day School girls and boys varsity track teams were in action on Wednesday, Feb. 27, hosting a five-team on the campus of FPD.

Both Viking squads faired well, finishing in second place overall on the day.

In the girls meet, the Lady Vikings tallied with 90 points, finishing just six points behind first-place winner Northside High School.

On the boys side, the Vikings finished with 80 points. The Northside boys team won the event with 88 points.

The FPD track team returns to action on Friday, March 8, traveling to Lamar County High School for a meet at 4:00 p.m.

The First Presbyterian Day School Department of Athletics, home to multiple region and state championships in both the GISA and GHSA, strives to build the student athlete both in the playing arena and the classroom while continuing to educate and equip students to change the world for God’s glory.
