Grace Tinkey to Sign with United States Air Force Academy on Thursday, Feb. 7

MACON, Ga.- First Presbyterian Day School senior cross country star Grace Tinkey will sign a national letter of intent to run cross country and indoor and outdoor track for the United States Air Force Academy on Thursday, February 21, 2013.

The signing will take place in the Middlebrooks Athletic Center at 9:45 a.m.

Tinkey is one of the best runners to come through the girls cross country program at FPD, claiming multiple individual titles throughout her freshman, sophomore and junior campaigns. She was also named 2010 and 2011 Gatorade Runner of the year for the state of Georgia.

The senior has also been named The Macon Telegraph’s All-Middle Georgia Cross Country Runner of the Year in 2008, ’09, ’10, and ’11.

Tinkey announced her commitment back in December 2012.
