Boys Golf Finishes in 6th Place at Camden Classic

ST. MARYS, Ga. – After winning its first two matches of the season, the First Presbyterian Day School boys golf team headed into Saturday’s Camden Classic at Osprey Cove hoping for a good showing.

Even though the Vikings did not walk away with the tournament title, FPD finished in the top-10, taking home sixth place in the 20-team event.

FPD fired a team score of 321 on the day, finishing just 13 strokes out of first place. Glynn  took home the tournament title, shooting a team score of 308.

Senior Conner Albright paced the Vikings on the links, shooting a 77 on the day, which was good for a T6. Charles Stroud was also impressive, posting a 78 and finishing T12.

Brantley Wilson was next for the Vikings, coming in the clubhouse with an 82 and finishing T33.

Brooks Stroud shot an 84, good for a T45.

The boys golf team returns to the links on Saturday, March 16, traveling to play in the Lafayette High School Invitational at the Lafayette Municipal Golf Course. The event tees off at 9:00 a.m.
