Boys Golf Wins at Veterans, Girls Drop Match

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. – The First Presbyterian Day School boys and girls golf teams hit the links on Thursday, March 8, taking on Veterans High School at the International City Golf Course.

The boys team claimed the victory in its match, firing a 156 team score. Veterans shot 166 as a team on the day.

Sophomore Dalton Taylor led the Vikings, shooting a 37 in the nine-hole tournament. Senior Brooks Stroud finished the day with a 39 while Conner Albright and Charles Stroud each shot 40.

In the girls match, the Lady Vikings fell to Veterans 162-136. Heidi Park shot a 45 to the pace the girls team.

The FPD golf team returns to the course on Saturday, March 9, competing in the Camden Classic at Osprey Cove in St. Marys, Ga.

The First Presbyterian Day School Department of Athletics, home to multiple region and state championships in both the GISA and GHSA, strives to build the student athlete both in the playing arena and the classroom while continuing to educate and equip students to change the world for God’s glory.
