Girls and Boys Tennis Sweep ELCA at John Drew Tennis Center

MACON, Ga. – The First Presbyterian Day School girls and boys tennis teams were in action on Friday, March 8, hosting a home match against Eagles Landing Christian Academy at the John Drew Tennis Center.

In the girls match, the Lady Vikings walked away with a 5-0 win over ELCA.

The singles matches saw Katy Hall, Olivia Taylor and Mary Madison Foshee garner wins over their respective opponents. In doubles, the pair of Summer Sanders and Sydney Reese claimed a 2-6, 6-1, 7-5 win while Bonnie Scurry and Caroline Stroud won 6-1, 6-1 in their match.

The boys added to the success the girls had, defeating ELCA 5-0 as well.

In the singles matches Daniel Strawn took down Ryan Holland 6-2, 6-0. Also capturing singles match victories for FPD was Michael Durham and Miller Durham.

The Vikings were successful in doubles on the day too, as the dynamic duos of Max Chandler and Dylan Liles along with Brooks Hanson and Tristan Hilyer took care of business.

Both girls and boys tennis squads return to the court on Monday, March 11 hosting Spalding High School at 4:00 p.m.
