Girls and Boys Track Take 2nd at Viking Invitational Meet

MACON, Ga. – The First Presbyterian Day School girls and boys track teams were in action on Wednesday night, March 13, welcoming six schools to compete in the Viking Invitational.

The event welcomed five girls teams and six boys squads, with both FPD varsity track teams finishing high in the event.

In the girls meet, the Lady Vikings finished in second place, totaling 135 points on the day and finishing just 25 points behind first place winner Northside High School.

In the boys meet, the Vikings also posted a second place finish, tallying 129.5 points. The Northside boys won the meet with 144 points.

The FPD track teams return to action on Friday-Saturday, March 15-16 at the Georgia Tech Coaches Invitational in Atlanta followed by a meet on Monday, March 18 at FPD at 4:00 p.m.
