Girls Soccer Advances to Bulldog Cup Championship Game

FORSYTH, Ga. – After winning the Viking Cup just a week ago, the First Presbyterian Day School girls soccer team (6-0) has a chance to win another tournament title on Saturday, March 9: the Bulldog Cup.

The Lady Vikings defeated Howard High School 3-0 Saturday morning to advance to the championship game on Saturday night at 6:00 p.m. v. Northside.

FPD was led by senior Atalia Ramirez, who scored two goals in the victory against Howard.

Brooke Battson also netted a goal to help the Lady Vikings advance.

With the shutout of Howard, the Lady Vikings have now won six consecutive games, all of them coming in shutout fashion.

FPD has outscored opponents this year 36-0 in that six game span.

The First Presbyterian Day School Department of Athletics, home to multiple region and state championships in both the GISA and GHSA, strives to build the student athlete both in the playing arena and the classroom while continuing to educate and equip students to change the world for God’s glory. Now a member of the GHSA, the Vikings have continued to provide FPD athletes, coaches, fans and spectators a positive, Christian environment on a daily basis.
