Girls Track Finishes Second, Boys Third at Lamar County Meet

BARNESVILLE, Ga. – The First Presbyterian Day School girls and boys track teams were in action over the weekend, traveling to compete at the “Friday Night Lights” meet at Lamar County High School on Friday, March 8.

The event welcomed 12 girls teams and 10 boys squads, with both FPD varsity track teams finishing high in the event.

In the girls meet, the Lady Vikings finished in second place, totaling 92 points on the day and finishing just 14 points behind first place winner Tucker High School.

In the boys meet, the Vikings posted a third place finish, tallying 82 points. Lamar County was the overall winner in the boys meet with 123 points.

The FPD track teams return to action on Wednesday, March 13, taking on Jones County High School and George Walton Academy at home. Start time is slated for 4:00 p.m.
