Girls Win, Boys Fall in Day One of Bulldog Cup

FORSYTH, Ga. – The First Presbyterian Day School girls and boys soccer teams were in action on Tuesday, March 5, traveling to play in the Bulldog Cup hosted by Mary Persons High School.

The Lady Vikings (5-0) claimed a victory over Perry High School 10-0. Atalia Ramirez netted a hat trick (three goals) for FPD. Jane Howell scored two goals while Maisyn Samples, Katey Griggs, Amy Morgan, Sara Robertson and Claire Crawford each scored a goal.

FPD also outshot Perry 24-3 on the evening.

The win for the FPD girls marks the fifth straight shutout of the season. FPD has outscored its opponents 33-0 so far on the season.

In the boys contest, the Vikings (3-2) fell to host Mary Persons 7-0, the first time the Vikings have been shutout on the young campaign.

The boys soccer team returns to the field on Thursday, March 7 at 7:30 p.m. taking on Spalding High School at the Bulldog Cup. The girls are back in action on Saturday, March 9 at the Bulldog Cup, taking on Howard at 10:00 a.m.
