Baseball Drops Two Spots to No. 5 in GHSA Power Rankings

MACON, Ga. – The First Presbyterian Day School baseball team has earned a spot in the fourth Georgia High School Association (GHSA) Class A Private School Power Rankings of the season, released today, April 16.

The rankings are used to determine the state playoffs and seeding at the end of the season.

The Vikings (17-1, 8-0 Reg. 7A) rank in at no. 5 of the 34 Class A private school teams on the poll with a ranking of 10.63. Eagles Landing sits atop the rankings coming in with 12.24 points..

FPD most recently fell to Veterans High School on Saturday, April 13 at Turner Field, a 4-2 loss.

The baseball team returns to the field on Thursday, April 18, traveling to Milledgeville for a region game at Georgia Military College Prep at 5 p.m. A win for the Vikings would clinch the region championship for FPD.
