Baseball Stays at No. 5 in GHSA Power Rankings

MACON, Ga. – The First Presbyterian Day School baseball team has earned a spot in the fifth Georgia High School Association (GHSA) Class A Private School Power Rankings of the season, released today, April 23.

The rankings are used to determine the state playoffs and seeding at the end of the season.

The Vikings (18-1, 9-0 Reg. 7A) rank in at no. 5 of the 34 Class A private school teams on the poll with a ranking of 11.98. George Walton Academy sits atop the rankings coming in with 13.60 points.

FPD most recently defeated GMC Prep 15-0 on Thursday, April 18, to claim its first baseball region championship as a member of the GHSA.

The baseball team returns to the field on Tuesday, April 23, traveling to play Woodland-Henry in McDonough at 5:45 p.m. FPD then return home for its final game of the season against region opponent Aquinas at 5 p.m.
