Baseball Wins Final Regular Season Game vs. Aquinas

MACON, Ga. – The First Presbyterian Day School baseball team left the regular season on a positive note on Friday, April 26, scoring nine runs in the first three innings en route to a 9-3 victory over region opponent Aquinas at Ben Harden Memorial Field.

Tanner Johnston drove in three runs and Tyler Stubbs, Will McCormick, Sam Pope and Sam Joyce each had one RBI, respectively in the Viking victory.

FPD (20-1, 10-0 Reg. 7A) outhit Aquinas 9-8 on the night, with eight of those hits coming as singles.

Sam Jones (6-0) picked up the win on the mound, tossing a complete game and striking out five.

The Vikings will now await postseason seeding from the GHSA later in the week. FPD will host its first round playoff series due to winning the Region 7A Championship earlier this season. Check for complete details.
