Boys Golf Wins, Girls Take Second in Match Against Howard & West Laurens

MACON, Ga. – The First Presbyterian Day School boys and girls golf teams hit the links on Monday, April 8 at Healy Point Country Club, taking on Howard High School and West Laurens High School.

In the boys match, the Vikings claimed first place for the fifth time this season. FPD fired a team score of 152, winning by more than 30 strokes on the day.

Senior Conner Albright was the low-scorer on the day, shooting an even 36 in the nine-hole event. Sophomore Dalton Taylor shot a 37 (+1) while Brantley Wilson shot a 38 (+2) and Kaleb Fuller finished his day with a 41 (+5).

In the girls match, the Lady Vikings battled to a second place finish, shooting a team score 171. Heidi Park signed her scorecard with a 45 (+9) while Claire Patton and Nancy Berkner finished with scores of 63, respectively.

The Lady Vikings return to action on Tuesday, April 16, competing in the Granger Classic at Highland Country Club in LaGrange, Ga. Both golf teams then return to play on Thursday, April 18, taking on Jones County at Healy Point at 3:30 p.m.
