Girls Soccer Wins at Warner Robins, Boys Battle to a Draw

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. – The First Presbyterian Day School girls and boys soccer teams hit the road to Warner Robins on Thursday, April 11 for a scheduled doubleheader at Warner Robins High School.

In the girls match, the Lady Vikings (14-1-1) took care of business, winning 10-0 to record its 13th shutout of the season.

Senior Atalia Ramirez netted five goals in the win while Jane Howell knocked in two scores, respectively. Also scoring a goal for FPD was Annie Kate Barnes, Katey Griggs and Sara Robertson.

Bailey Heard, Laney Elliott and Ramirez each had two assists on the evening. Nicolle Smith, Barnes, Griggs, and Howell also garnered an assist in the game to seal the win for FPD.

Senior keeper Claire Crawford preserved the shutout for the Lady Vikings, scooping up three saves.

In the boys game, the Vikings battled Warner Robins to 0-0 draw after falling in a preseason scrimmage 2-0 on Feb. 5.

The FPD soccer squads return to the field on Thursday, April 18, welcoming Brookstone for an area match at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.
