Track Players Qualify for the GHSA State Meet at Sectionals

FAIRBURN, Ga. – The First Presbyterian Day School girls and boys track teams competed in the GHSA Class A Sectional Track Meet on Saturday, April 27 at Landmark Christian School.

Both the Lady Vikings and Vikings faired well in the event, with multiple players advancing to the GHSA Class A State Meet.

Advancing to the GHSA Class A Girls State Meet are:

  • Savannah Phillips in high jump and 300m hurdles
  • Maggie Johnston in discuss
  • Anna Smith in pole vault.

Competing for the Vikings in the GHSA Class A Boys State Meet will be:

  • Jonathan Raines in triple jump
  • Jam Morris in high jump
  • Christian Moore and Darron Moore in 110 hurdles
  • Darron Moore in 300m hurdles
  • Boys 4 x 100 – Darron Moore, Austin Moore, Barron Jones and Jonathan Raines
  • Boys 4 x 400 – Patrick Hague, Barron Jones, Connor Jones and William Roddenberry
  • Boys 1600 m – Patrick Hague and Will Martin
  • Boys 3200 m – Will Martin

The GHSA girls state track meet will be held in Albany on May 9-11 while the boys state meet is May 2-4 in Commerce.
